CONSIDERATIONS FOR PROTECTING YOUR DATA AND IDENTITY

  • I do not save any password or login information for your accounts once we are done solving your issues. Still, I recommend regularly resetting passwords.

  • As noted in the Legal section, you should back up your files/data before we start troubleshooting. If you don't have a system for backups, I can help with that too!

  • With your permission, I might ask to record our phone calls. I use info from this to connect dots, track progress, and report results. If you agree, I'll keep these on file for future use.

  • Offsite tech help likely will involve one or more remote desktop sessions where I control some or all areas of your computer/device--for setup or demonstration purposes. Sometimes, recording these sessions is useful; same deal as above.
